Kenko Tokina finished the last year on a high note, by introducing its new wide lens - Tokina AT-X 14-20mm f/2 Pro DX - at the very end of December.
The Tokina AT-X 14-20mm f/2 Pro DX is a wide-angle zoom lens aimed at Canon and Nikon DSLRs with APS-C (DX) sensors. Depending on whether it is mounted on Canon or Nikon bodies, its equivalent focal length is 22-32mm or 21-30mm, respectively. With its maximum aperture of f/2, this Tokina lens is exceptional for shooting in low light, at ISO 64 and ISO 100. As for its optical construction, the The Tokina 14-20mm f/2 features 13 elements in 11 groups, two of which are SLD (Super Low Dispersion), and one is aspherical - it reduces flare and ghosting. Furthermore, lenses elements are covered with a multilayer film coating, whose task is to neutralize reflections. This wide zoom lens sports no image stabilization, but it boasts a highly practical One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism, which enables users to switch between AF/MF simply by sliding the focus ring - forward for AF and backward for MF. The aperture features 9 blades, whereas the filter diameter is 82mm.
