Samsung follows the trend and 'takes over the microphone' in order to announce its innovations for Photokina. Namely, the innovations from Samsung for this period are an outstanding MILC Samsung NX1 and a Samsung NX 50-150mm f/2.8 OIS lens.
The Samsung NX1 becomes the trump card of the Samsung company, and when its characteristics are taken into account, it is no wonder why. This mirrorless camera is aimed at professionals and it boasts the first APS-C BSI-CMOS sensor manufactured by Samsung. Along with this exceptional 28.2MP sensor, the NX1 offers a sophisticated hybrid autofocus system with terrific 205 phase-detection points that cover 90% of the frame, and such a fast AF results in a remarkable burst mode with 15 fps continuous shooting.
The list of impressive grades of this weather-sealed camera does not end there: the Samsung NX1 features a DRIMe V processor, next, it demonstrates the ability to record videos in 4K resolution thanks to the next generation HEVC (H.265) codec; what is more, it exhibits an OLED electronic viewfinder with 2.360.000 dots, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and on top of everything, this camera can be combined with a 16-50mm f/2-2.8 lens with optical image stabilization (OIS) and extra low dispersion (ED).
The second innovation by Samsung is another lens from the S series - the Samsung NX 50-150mm f/2.8 OIS. It is designed precisely for the Samsung's NX cameras, it is resistant to dust and splashes, it features 20 elements in 14 groups, built-in optical image stabilization (OIS), as well as an i-Function button, which represents part of Samsung's user interface. This lens is excellent in low light conditions, it provides beautiful bokeh, which makes it ideal for photographing sporting events, nature and weddings. Moreover, it boasts an ultra-precise stepper motor (UPSM).
The powerful Samsung NX1 will price at $1499.99 for body only, or in combination with the 16-50mm f/2-2.8 lens, battery grip and extra battery for $2799.99, while the Samsung NX 50-150mm f/2.8 OIS lens will cost $1599.99. The date of their arrival on the world market is yet to be announced.
