Ricoh broadened its collection of lenses with a new Pentax HD DA 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 ED DC WR standard zoom lens. Aimed at Pentax K-mount DSLR cameras, this lens is characterized by a superb Pentax HD coating, which neutralizes flare and ghosting, and consequently delivers clear and sharp images, and at the same time it makes the lens resistant to adverse weather conditions since it prevents water from penetrating into the lens interior.
Covering an equivalent range of 24.5 - 130 mm, this Pentax's lens je perfect for capturing a wide spectrum of images, from wide-angle landscape photographs to portrait photography. It is composed of 16 optical elements in 12 groups, one of which is ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and it performs the correction of chromatic aberrations, and three of which are aspherical and they minimize color bleeding.
Another positive characteristic concerning this lens is the DC servomotor that it features, while the weight of this model is 488 g.
