Olympus Stylus SH-2 represents a new version of the Olympus Stylus SH-1, which was announced last spring, and it brings support for RAW shooting. From its predecessor it kept a 16MP BSI CMOS sensor, a 25-600mm (equivalent) f/3.0-6.9, 24x optical zoom, 5-axis optical image stabilization, as well as built-in Wi-Fi.
Video shooting is Full HD at 60 fps, slow motion is captured at 240 fps, while the time-lapse mode compresses up to five hours of footage into a 20-second time-lapse video. The view is displayed on a fixed 3" 460,000-dot touch LCD screen.
In addition, Olympus Stylus SH-2 offers Nightscape modes for shooting in the dark, and thanks to the said optical image stabilization, images are sharp and crystal clear, even in the dark. There is also another new mode, Live Composite, for astrophotography devotees.
The Olympus Stylus SH-2, which will be available in silver and black, will come onto the market in April, at a price of $399.99.
