Almost 4 months after introducing the exceptional series of Hero4 action cameras, GoPro announced details about the new version of firmware that is soon to improve the cameras from this series. The updated firmware will arrive next month and it will bring new photo and video modes.
Both representatives of the Hero4 series, the GoPro Hero4 Black as well as the GoPro Hero4 Silver, will obtain a new option which provides automatic conversions of photographic time lapses into seamless videos. What is more, both of these models will acquire a new burst mode, which will enable the cameras to capture terrific 30 pictures in 6 seconds. On top of everything, both of these action cameras will boast a new auto-rotate function during video recording, so you can say goodbye to capturing an interesting action, and throwing it away because it is upside down.
However, the GoPro Hero4 Black edition will be presented with some more enhancements, which, unfortunately, the GoPro Hero4 Silver edition will be deprived of. Here we have a slow motion video recording mode in HD resolution (1280 x 720) at the speed of superb 240 fps, a 2.7K video recording mode at 60fps, as well as the option to tag or 'highlight' parts of captured videos.
The exact date when the updated firmware will be available to the public is still unknown, yet the company GoPro have stated that their Hero4 users can follow the news page on their official website, where they will be immediately informed about any news regarding this topic.
