Sony announced that the superb prosumer Sony DSC-RX10 with tremendous video capabilities will obtain a firmware update, version v.2. The upgraded firmware will bring, among other things, the fantastic XAVC S codec, which already characterizes the models Sony RX100 III, Sony Alpha A7S, as well as Sony Alpha a5100. This upgrade will result in video recording in the Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) at 60/30/24 fps, as well as the HD resolution (1280 x 720) at 120 fps (and their PAL equivalents), at a bit rate of 50 Mbps, instead of 28, as it used to be the case.
