After causing a great sensation last fall by launching the fantastic GoPro Hero4 action cameras (which received firmware update some time later), the GoPro corporation carries on with improvements and brings a new GoPro Hero+ LCD. This innovation has a number of features in common with the entry-level GoPro Hero, yet what is new here is an LCD touch screen.

The GoPro Hero+ LCD delivers crystal clear Full HD 1080/60p videos, as well as 8MP stills. The addition in the form of an LCD touch screen enables easier framing and control settings, so it justifies to a great extent its existence on this device. As the said entry-level Hero camera, the Hero+ LCD features a QuikCapture function, thanks to which the camera is switched on with a simple press of a button, and it is instantly ready for work. Like the Hero, too, the Hero+ LCD is built directly into a sealed housing, which makes it waterproof to depths up to 40m/131ft.

What makes GoPro Hero+ LCD special are the functions HiLight Tagging and video trimming, which make it easier for you to locate certain moments that you captured. Thanks to the HiLight Tagging option, you can mark some particularly interested moments while recording, and then find them more easily during playback. On the other hand, the video trimming feature makes it possible for you to create short clips inside the camera itself. With the LCD touch screen built into the camera, using these features is made considerably easier.

The said functions HiLight Tagging and video trimming are designed in order for users to find their special moments more easily, and then share them with their special people. The material can be transferred by means of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, both with Android and iOS devices. Of course, thanks to these connection features, the camera can also be controlled remotely, via a compatible device.

Due to its long life, the battery will allow for up to two hours of recording per charge. Material is written on microSD cards with the capacity of up to 64GB (at least Class 10 or UHS-I).

The GoPro Hero+ LCD will be available in the US at retailers and online from June 7, for $299.99. From July 12 onwards, the camera will go on sale internationally.
